My name is
Kotha Naga Siva Kumar, you can call me Siva. I am from Hyderabad, India. My
mother tongue is Telugu. This is the
Future I Want.
We are experiencing the extinction of biodiversity which is
being accompanied by the disappearance of cultural diversity. Two years ago, in
my country, died the last speaker of the Bo tribe and many other cultures
around the world are facing the same destiny. My speech is in Esperanto as this
is the democratic language which can be used to talk to the world.
Decision makers my question is, do we want to give a better
world to our children or do we want to give good children and humans to the
world too?
I hope and wish that we shall have a better world and also
the world shall have better people to live with. Our world now not working
properly. We don’t have enough water, good air, good people and lot more. We
have big problems coming. We have to act now, we will not have time to improve
in future. For example in Hyderabad, where I live, we don’t have enough ground
water for people and animals, also the same in other places, isn’t it? We will
finish the ground water as a start. Certainly! When we don’t have water, we’ll
build dams and we’ll fight for it. Also Pothuluri Veerabrahmam said “we will
kill ourselves”. We are already doing that.
We depend entirely on our natural resources. Every activity
we do - from having a restaurant, taking a flight, swimming into a pool -
depends on the environmental services provided from ecosystems. That's why we
have to invest in our natural assets by protecting our forests, fresh water
bodies, oceans, etc. This is our time to think logical if we want to improve
our present and enjoy our future.
To save our world in future too we should be able to give
good humans to the world and vice versa.
So my question is: do we want to give a better world to our
children or do we want to give good children and humans to the world too?

Karaj ŝtatestroj mi demandas ke, ĉu ni nur donu bonan mondon
al niaj gefiloj aŭ ĉu ni donu bonajn gefilojn kaj homoj al nia mondo ankaŭ?
Mi esperas ke ni havu bonan mondon kaj ankaŭ la mondo havu
bonajn homojn kaj niaj geflioj por ke ili povas prizorgi sekvote. Nia mondo nun
ne bone funkcias. Ni ne havas sufiĉe da akvo, bona aero, bonaj homoj kaj aliaj
multaj. Ni havas grandajn problemojn. Ni devas agadi nun, ne estos multe da tempo poste. Jen la ekzemplo ke en
Hajderabado, kie mi loĝas ne estas sufiĉe da akvo por homoj kaj bestoj, ankaŭ
similas en multaj aliaj landoj, ĉu ne? Ni unue finiĝos akvo en la tero. Certege! Kiam ni ne havos akvon, ni
volas savi kaj por savo ni batalos konstruate baril-digojn kaj kiel diras Pothuluri Veerabrahmam “ni mortigos nin”. Ni jam faras tion.
Ni dependas tute je niaj naturaj rimedoj. Ĉiuj kiuj ni
faras ekzemple hoteloj, flugoj, neĝejoj, baril-digoj, kaj aliaj – dependas je
niaj ĉirkaŭaĵaj servoj donate al ni de nia ekologia sistemo. Tial ni devas
prizorgi pri niaj naturaĵoj por ekzemplo arbaroj, puraj akvaj lokoj, maroj. Tiu
ĉi tempo, ni devas pensi logike kaj plibonigi nian estantencon kaj estontenco.
Ni ĉiam pensas pri havi bonan mondon por niaj gefiloj, sed ni
ne pensas ke ni donu bonajn gefilojn kaj homoj al nia mondo. Kiam ni donos ilin
al la mondo tiam ni bone povos savi nian mondon kiun ni donos al ili savate.
Do
mia nura demando estas ke: ĉu ni nur donu bonan mondon al niaj gefiloj aŭ ĉu ni
donu bonajn gefilojn kaj homoj al nia mondo ankaŭ?
